Paid internship – 6 months – London – July 2020

What we do

 

Launched in December 2013, Xperts Council work with some of the most prestigious investment funds as well as five of the seven largest global management consulting firms.

Our clients face gaps in their knowledge every day and it is our role to help them find the right source to help them understand the issues before making strategic decisions. Nothing is more valuable than speaking with the professionals on the ground directly to understand their perspective on industry trends. No day is the same as we receive new challenges from our clients from drones to robots, cosmetics in Turkey to motorcycle helmets, New Media in the US, E-sports … and it is up to us to help them, often on extremely tight deadlines.

 

The role

 

We are looking for someone to join the commercial team, to be based in our London office (Marylebone, Zone 1). Due to exceptional growth we are expanding in London and need entrepreneurial self-starters who want accountability from day one and the opportunity to see a business growing from the ground up. You will work very closely with the UK Country Head in managing and developing our existing client base as well as welcoming new clients onboard. As an early member of our team you will be exposed and involved to all business functions from sales & marketing, product development and training and hiring new members. In the past, our interns/placements have acquired a variety of skills and contacts which have then been used to either join the business full time, or go on to work at companies including Lazard, EY, BNP Paribas and Pernod Ricard.

  • Meeting, building connections and activating contacts in co-ordination with the Country Head and wider business
  • Responsibility and autonomy from day one as you personally (after our training and constant coaching) manage client requests. You will interact directly with our clients through varying means on a daily basis
  • Experienced managers to train you in transferable commercial and soft business skills, and to feedback and develop you professionally.

 

 

Required skills:

 

  • Ideal opportunity for current undergraduates or recent graduates with 0-2 years’ experience
  • Strong academic record and/or 2:1 Honours Degree (or equivalent)
  • Results focused and able to meet tight deadlines to provide excellent customer service
  • Curious about the economic world and how it is structured
  • An interest in the mechanics of the investment (Hedge Funds, PE) and management consulting industries
  • Confidence speaking with high level clients and industry professionals
  • Fluency in English is essential, other languages highly desirable
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom, we are unfortunately unable to sponsor visas.
