Talent Manager – Part Time (3-days per week) – Porto

Xperts Council is a fast-growing and international young company that connects investment firms, global consulting firms, and corporates with high level professionals for industry phone sector consultations, senior advisory missions, and board member recruitment. We work alongside global clients such as most of the world’s most prestigious strategy consultancies and well-known investments funds.

The company is headquartered in Paris, and has set-up its Operational Centre in the beautiful city of Porto (we call this the “core of the nuclear reactor”, where our multi-national team of consultants are now based under the responsibility of our COO).

Thanks to our exceptional team and the loyalty of our clients we did really well in 2020: increasing our market share, and expanding our customer portfolio. We even exceeded our all-time business records on Q3 2020.

By 2025, we predict to have multiplied our turnover by 10 and so are looking for an equally ambitious Talent Manager to help us grow our the core of the business: our talented team.


You will be reporting to the COO and your role will include: 


  • Defining the talent management policy for the operations department;
  • Creating and managing relationships from top-tier universities across Europe as well as organising hiring and promotion events;
  • Managing our job listings and applications on university portals and other job sites;
  • Regularly update job requirements and job descriptions for existing and new positions;
  • Refine and streamline our hiring process from the initial screening of incoming CVs through to sending the job offer;
  • Create a pool of candidates, maintain relationships with them by engaging them in any updates we have, news and social media posts.


  • Welcoming and setting up new joiners e.g. laptops, log-ins, planning and training organisation
  • Creating a new-joiner welcome pack;
  • Managing the contracts for new joiners and updating them, where necessary;
  • Coordinating with managers and consultants of the company to schedule trainings;
  • Keeping on top of current and new employee files, updating them where necessary;


  • Support the finance team with payroll process
  • Be able to decipher local labour law, work with COO to ensure that we remain abreast of any changes and respond accordingly, helping to implement new processes where necessary.


  •   Set up a company social calendar alongside COO and members of the operations team

What we expect of you:

  • 3-5 years’ experience;
  • Proven success in headhunting, recruiting and relationship management at a bachelor/masters level – preferably within a start-up environment;
  • Knowledge of Portuguese HR practice; knowledge of Portuguese employment law a must;
  • An advanced level of English (business level, C1 minimum);
  • Fluency in Portuguese (native preferred);
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to build strong relationships;
  • Flexibility, tenacity and creative thinking;
  • Results-driven and the ability to see the bigger picture;
