Purpose of the Xperts Council Privacy Policy

Xperts Council, a commercial brand of Experts Council SAS, complies with the data collection and management laws of 1978 commonly referred to as “Data Processing and Freedoms,” and the European regulation of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter: the “GDPR”). The purpose of this charter is to inform you (i) as a person with a user account who may perform one or more tasks on behalf of a Client via the Xperts Council matchmaking platform (hereafter “Experts”), (ii) or as a client of the company (hereinafter “Clients”), about the methods in which we process your personal data.

What is personal data?

The term “personal data” refers to all data that allows you to be identified as an individual on the Xperts Council platform, accessible at https://xpertscouncil.com, https://api.xpertscouncil.com, or client.xpertscouncil.com.

What personal data is collected by Xperts Council?

In the course of our business, we collect several information about you, including:

For Experts: Your first and last name, gender, country of residence, phone number, email address, data related to your professional history, LinkedIn profile if it exists. If you use the LinkedIn connection application to access your Expert profile, certain data such as your first and last name and email address will be collected directly from LinkedIn. Finally, if you are hired for a mission for one of our Clients, we will also ask for your bank details in order to make the payment for the consultation.

For Clients: Your first and last name, email address, phone number, country of residence, current company, job title, link to your LinkedIn profile.

For website visitors: We use cookies to improve your experience when you browse the website. Of these, cookies classified as necessary are stored on your browser as they are essential to the basic functionalities of the website.

For what purpose(s) is your data collected and used? Your personal data is exclusively used for the processing of your profile presentation (or updating in our database) as part of the tasks we are assigned. Only information related to your professional skills is processed.

  • Managing your access to certain services accessible on the Platform and enabling its use
  • Producing commercial statistics and information on the use of our Platform and website

NB: You may always refuse to transmit your data to us, we will then inform you of the possible consequences of this refusal when these data are mandatory. To do this, please contact your project manager or [email protected], specifying the information you do not wish to share and the reason.

3. Duration of retention of collected data

The data is kept for the entire duration of your registration on our platform, and for a period of:

As an Expert:

90 days after the end of your last mission if, during your registration, in the ethics part, you uncheck the box “I would like to be contacted by Xperts Council’s consultants for potential future projects.”

Three (3) years from the end of your last interaction with Xperts Council. At the end of this three (3) year period, we can contact you again to find out if you wish to continue receiving commercial solicitations.

 

As a Client:

Three (3) years from your last interaction with Xperts Council for the use of data for prospecting purposes. At the end of this three (3) year period, we can contact you again to find out if you wish to continue receiving commercial solicitations.

4. Security

We, along with our subcontractors, have taken all necessary precautions, including appropriate organizational and technical measures, to preserve the security, integrity, and confidentiality of your personal data. To prevent any unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Help us maintain the security of your information by keeping your password and other account details (Expert or Client) confidential.

5. Hosting

Your data is kept and stored for the entire duration of their processing on the servers of the OVH company located in France, Roubaix, within the European Union.

6. Your rights

What are your rights over your data?

 

Right to information: This is precisely why we wrote this charter.

Right of access: You have the right to access all your personal data at any time.

Right to rectification: You have the right to correct your inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete personal data at any time.

Right to restriction: You have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of your personal data in certain cases defined in Art. 18 of the GDPR.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive your personal data in a readable format and to demand their transfer to the recipient of your choice.

Right to be forgotten: You have the right to demand that your personal data be erased and to prohibit any future collection.

Right to lodge a complaint: with competent supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL), if you consider that the processing of your personal data constitutes a violation of the applicable texts.

Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Note that we may continue to process them despite this opposition, for legitimate reasons or the defense of legal rights. For prospecting, you can oppose at any time via the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each of our prospecting emails.

Right to give instructions after your death: relating to the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data, and designating a person responsible for their execution if necessary. You can send them to a trusted digital third party certified by the CNIL when they are general directives, or to the contact details below for your specific directives. You can modify or revoke your directives at any time.
